Mario Ferretti (1915-1974), a painter and draftsman from Livorno, is an artist with a unique and relatively unexplored personality. He was a student of the Free School of Nude Art in Florence and later of Beppe Guzzi at the School of Art, especially in the Art Section at the Glassworks in Livorno (which was also attended, around the mid-1930s, by Filippo Tommaso Martinetti), where he had an electrifying experience with an international flavour in the field of decorative and industrial arts. From the beginning, Mario Ferretti stood out for his volcanic creativity as a stained glass designer and poster creator.
